Product Information of Yamaha 5-String Bass Guitar TRB1005J TBL
The Yamaha TRB1005J TBL is a highly versatile bass guitar, crafted to provide outstanding performance and tone. This is part of our collection of Yamaha TRB series.
Yamaha TRB Guitars
The TRB series was introduced as a versatile 6-string bass guitar in the late 1980s, coinciding with the increasing use of synthesizers in music. Yamaha designed the TRB to cover a wider tonal range by adding a low B string for deep notes that standard 4-string basses couldn’t achieve. The high C string, on the other hand, allows advanced players to explore more complex improvisation and expression.
To enhance tonal clarity in the low range and improve string tension, Yamaha equipped the TRB with a longer 35″ scale length. The bass also features low-noise pickups and a 3-band active circuit, delivering a well-balanced, clear sound with a wide range of tonal options. Thanks to Yamaha’s continuous innovation, the TRB has become a favorite among professional musicians since its debut in 1989, solidifying its status as an iconic 5- and 6-string bass.
