Additionally, the passive SRT Zero Impact pickup employs six separate elements to detect each string, delivering authentic plugged-in tones. Innovative Construction for Superior Quality
Yamaha’s dedication to perfection is evident in the LL6M’s great tone and smooth playability. The guitar benefits from the recently developed A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process, which provides a broken-in, aged tone. By manipulating atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity, this process mimics the molecular properties of wood from a guitar that has been played for years. Moreover, each L Series guitar features modified non-scalloped bracing, enhancing the guitar’s low end. In addition, the 5-ply mahogany/rosewood neck has undergone a redesign to improve playability by re-evaluating string height and spacing. As a result, the Yamaha LL6M utilizes these advancements to offer an incredibly playable and superb-sounding instrument.
Hand-selected spruce Top for Exceptional Sound
The choice of top wood significantly impacts an acoustic guitar’s sound. For the LL6M, Yamaha selected a premium, hand-picked solid Engelmann spruce top. This choice not only enhances the guitar’s appearance but also its tone, providing a well-rounded, articulate sound with excellent projection. Additionally, the mahogany back and sides deliver exceptional bass and powerful projection. Since it features a solid wood top, the tone will mature gracefully, offering enhanced harmonics and greater tonal balance over time.
Full-Range Passive Pickup System
Yamaha designed the passive SRT Zero Impact pickup to faithfully reproduce the LL6M’s natural, dynamic sound while minimizing any impact on the guitar’s aesthetics and tone. Unlike active pickups, this passive design avoids a bulky preamp routed into the body, which could interfere with the instrument’s look or resonance. Each string has its own piezo element, ensuring a full and accurate sound. However, because this is a passive pickup system, you’ll need an external preamp for plugging in the Yamaha LL6M.
