Moreover, each L Series guitar includes modified non-scalloped bracing, which enhances the guitar’s low end. In addition, the 5-ply mahogany/rosewood neck has undergone a redesign to improve playability by re-evaluating string height and spacing. Yamaha designed the SRT Zero Impact pickup to deliver a faithful reproduction of the LL16MARE’s natural, dynamic sound while minimizing any impact on the guitar’s aesthetics and tone. Unlike active pickups, this passive design avoids a bulky preamp routed into the body, which could detract from the instrument’s appearance and resonance. Instead, each string features its own piezoelectric element, ensuring a full and accurate sound. However, since this is a passive pickup system, you’ll need an external preamp to plug in the Yamaha LL16MARE.
