Newly Developed Scalloped Bracing
The new FG offers a louder and stronger sound in the low- to mid-ranges, made possible by Yamaha’s cutting-edge acoustic analysis technology. Yamaha’s engineers used advanced analysis and simulation, rather than relying on tradition or guesswork, to design the ideal bracing pattern. This led to the development of a new scalloped bracing, which maintains the durability of the top board while maximizing the sound potential of the Yamaha FG.
50 Years of History
Yamaha’s FG series began in 1966 with the release of the FG180 and FG150 models. Over the past 50 years, several generations of the FG have been developed and produced, making it a favorite among contemporary players. Since its inception, there have been over 200 FG models released.
Made in Yamaha
Every detail of the FG is crafted to create a superior guitar. From meticulously cured and dried woods to hand-sprayed finishes and thorough quality control checks, each FG is designed to be a lifelong companion for musicians.
