Alder/Maple/Alder Body Construction
The new BB series features an Alder/Maple/Alder multi-laminated body. The hard maple center enhances body stiffness, emphasizes midrange tones to cut through the mix, and allows better transmission of vibrations between the body and neck, resulting in exceptional resonance and sustain.
6-Bolt Miter Neck Joint
The miter bolting system holds the neck closer and tighter to the body, essentially merging these two components into one. Compared to conventional bolt-on joints, miter bolting improves the transfer of string vibrations throughout the body, leading to enhanced sustain and resonance.
YGD Custom V7 Pickups
Featuring Alnico magnets, the YGD Custom V7 pickups produce a fat, penetrating tone. Combined with the Alder/Maple/Alder construction, these pickups deliver an organic, well-defined sound across the 700 and Pro models.
Active Circuit
The BB700 models include a specially tuned active/passive circuit that offers fine tonal control and flexibility. The returned circuit delivers a crisper tone and improved mids, with level-matched output in both passive and active modes. The tone-switching circuitry smoothly transitions between treble control and master passive tone. Key contacts use high-quality gold-plated parts for increased conductivity, while a battery alert LED on the back panel prevents unexpected power loss.

Convertible Bridge and Saddle for Precise Tone Shaping: Vintage Plus Bridge
The BB700 and Pro models are equipped with the Vintage Plus Bridge, which incorporates “Diagonal Body Thru Stringing.” The strings pass through the instrument at a 45º angle, reducing stress and efficiently transferring string vibration to the body. The bridge also allows for stringing from the tail end, and the convertible saddle offers two different angles for precise tonal adjustments. The rounder side produces a softer sound, while the angled side delivers a tighter tone.
The brass saddle provides deeper low-end tones, while the steel bridge plate produces a brighter sound. All screws and springs are made from stainless steel to prevent corrosion.
Five-Piece Neck
The BB series features a 5-ply maple and mahogany laminated neck in a bolt-on design, delivering sharp attack and quick response. This durable neck resists warping and twisting, blending the penetrating character of maple with the warmth of mahogany.
