Product Information of Blackstar HTV60112KM3 – HT Stage 60 MKIII 1×12 Combo Amplifier
The Blackstar HTV60112KM3 – HT Stage 60 MKIII 1×12 Combo is an amplifier produced by Blackstar. This is part of our collection of amplifiers.
Blackstar’s multi-award-winning HT Venue line has earned a reputation for its class-leading clean and overdrive tones, all packed into a single, gig, and studio-friendly unit. Now, in 2023, Blackstar pushes the boundaries further by introducing the next generation of HT Venue valve amplifiers, designed to inspire your performance at every turn.
Versatility Across Styles and Settings
The HT Venue MK III is a highly versatile amplifier, suited to a wide variety of playing styles and performance situations. Its Clean Channel offers two distinct voices: one inspired by a classic American circuit, and the other by a traditional British tone. The Voice switch reconfigures the preamp voicing, EQ, and valve gain structure, as well as the power amplifier damping. Furthermore, this produces a clean, bright tone with solid bass for the American sound while offering a highly responsive “chime” with a looser bottom end for the British tone. When pushed hard, the British tone can also morph into a rich midrange overdrive. Conveniently, the Voice setting can also be controlled via a foot controller for on-the-fly adjustments.
Broad Range of Overdrive Tones
In addition to its clean capabilities, the HT Stage MK III boasts two Overdrive channels that share a common EQ section. Just like the Clean Channel, each Overdrive channel features a Voice switch, allowing you to tweak the character of each overdrive sound, providing a wide range of overdriven tones to suit your preferences.
You can select each of these voice settings via a foot controller, ensuring easy transitions during a live performance. Furthermore, the amplifier remembers the last Voice setting on each channel, allowing seamless switching without losing your desired tone.
High-Gain Overdrive with Natural Sound
The Overdrive channels of the HT Stage MK III are characterized by a high-gain tone that avoids the harsh, detached top-end “fizz” often found in other designs. This is due to Blackstar’s unique preamplifier and power amplifier shaping techniques, which also ensure that the overdrive tones clean up beautifully when you lower the guitar volume. Even in the most extreme settings, the Overdrive channels maintain a natural and musical sound, adding richness and depth to your playing.
Infinite Tone Shaping with ISF Control
A standout feature of Blackstar amplifiers is the patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) control, offering unparalleled tone-shaping flexibility. The ISF control allows you to shift the response of the tone stack between a US-type sound on one end and a UK-type response on the other. In between these two extremes lies an infinite range of tonal possibilities, unlocking sound combinations that would otherwise be unavailable.
Reverb and Tone Customization
The amplifier also includes a naturally sounding digital reverb that can be fine-tuned via the Reverb control on the front panel or switched on and off using the optional 5-way foot controller. Moreover, a switch on the rear panel provides two distinct reverb settings: “Dark” for a room reverb and “Light” for a plate reverb. To add even more flexibility, the reverb decay times can be individually adjusted for each channel by connecting the amp to Blackstar’s Architect software via USB.
Power Control for Any Volume
The HT Venue MK III features a Power Switch on the front panel. It allows you to toggle between full power and 10% power. This ensures that the full tonal depth of the valve power stage can be enjoyed at any volume, enabling you to retain the characteristic warmth and depth of power valves even when playing at lower levels.
USB and Recording Capabilities
For recording enthusiasts, the amplifier comes equipped with a USB connector, capable of sending up to four channels of guitar signal (dry, preamp out, and stereo emulated out) into a computer. This USB connection also provides access to Blackstar’s Architect software. It allows deep customization of the reverb and controls over CabRig parameters for the detailed power amp, speaker, cabinet, mic, and room emulations. In addition, these emulations can be accessed through the USB, balanced DI, and stereo headphone/line outputs, making the amp a perfect tool for practicing, recording, or live performance.
