Arthur is a classical pianist from Vancouver. He was inspired by the teaching of Anna Levy to pursue a higher education in music. Arthur studied with David McCoy at Capilano University and was awarded first and second place in the 2017 and 2018 Capilano University Scholarship Competitions, respectively. He was also awarded the Norma Porter & George M. C. Whyte Memorial Scholarship at Capilano and achieved First Class Honours with Distinction in ARCT Performance Diploma (RCM). Arthur furthered his music education at the University of British Columbia. Under the teaching of Mark Anderson, he was awarded the Harry and Marjorie Anne SLIM Memorial Scholarship and Erzsebet Gessler Memorial Scholarship, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with High Distinction in May 2022. Besides his own piano learning, Arthur is also the pianist for St. Casimir’s Polish Parish, Chinese Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, and the HoorAva Voices choir. He also excels in cello, which he often plays while collaborating with other musicians in festivals and events.
Arthur dedicates his effort into creating unique lessons according to each students’ needs. His lessons help his students reach their own goals in music learning and to bring passion to every student’s learning experience. He is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. In Arthur’s teaching, practical and theoretical skills are introduced and taught because those skill sets provide the foundation for more artistic performances in the future.
